A Blenheim man is facing several sexual assault charges as part of an ongoing criminal investigation.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said the 40-year-old suspect was arrested in Harwich Township on Tuesday at around 9 a.m. and charged with six counts of sexual assault, one count of assault, and one count of committing an indecent act in a public place.
The accused was remanded into custody following a bail hearing.
Authorities said identifying details will not be released to protect the victim or victims. Police have also not released when the alleged offences took place or how many victims there are.
An investigation remains ongoing.
