Municipal Changes During ‘Stay Home’ Order

A new state of emergency in Ontario is now in effect, ordering everyone to stay home other than for essential purposes.

That includes getting groceries, prescriptions and other medical necessities, and work for those who are unable to work from home.

Municipal Bylaw Enforcement Officers and Chatham-Kent Police will be stepping up investigations and enforcement to ensure that these new measures are being followed.

Service Centres in Wallaceburg, Blenheim, Ridgetown, and Tilbury will be closed for the timing being, as will municipal information desks in Bothwell, Thamesville, and Wheatley.

The Chatham Civic Centre, the Chatham Grand Avenue Service Ontario office and the Dresden Municipal/Service Ontario office which will remain open by appointment only and for essential services.

CK Transit will continue to operate with no changes to current bus schedules or service to help those who are travelling for essential purposes.
