Municipal Services Altered for Canada Day

Celebrating Canada Day on Tuesday means a staggered schedule for many local services this week.

All government offices and most municipal services will be closed tomorrow, including museums, art galleries, and public libraries.

RIDE CK public transit buses will be parked for the day, leaf and yard depots will be closed, and there will be no garbage and recycling pick-ups on Tuesday with collections for the rest of the week delayed by one day.

All municipal programs and offices, including Service Ontario desks in Chatham and Dresden, will resume their regular schedule on Wednesday.

On the health care side of things, the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance will be running on its standard holiday schedule with ambulatory care, outpatient rehabilitation services, and outpatient lab services closed tomorrow. The oncology and chemotherapy department will be closed for Canada Day, however hemodialysis care will be open.

Emergency departments in Chatham and Wallaceburg remain open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
