Nearly three quarters of a million dollars came to The Municipality of Chatham-Kent by way of the Slots at Dresden Raceway in 2015-2016.
The annual figure was released earlier this week and is in line with previous years.
The payment is made quarterly and goes into general revenues to cover the costs of a wide range of municipal services.
Mayor Randy Hope says, “This significant investment in our community represented 0.53% of the 2016 municipal budget, and this is money that directly supports the delivery of services to citizens. Obviously, our municipality’s arrangement with the OLG is a win-win for everybody.”
Since 2001, Chatham-Kent has collected $9.4 million.
The casino also employs about 90 people.
