Wallaceburg commuters may be in for some headaches on Monday with the closure of the Murray Street bridge.

The span over the Sydenham River will be closed to vehicular traffic in both directions beginning at 8 a.m. to allow for testing of bridge deck opening controls and equipment.

Detours will be in place during the closure from McNaughton Avenue to Wellington Street, as well as Queen Street to Gillard Street, to McNaughton Avenue, and to Wellington
Street.

The bridge was previously closed in March and April for rehabilitation.

The latest closure is expected to last eight hours, with the bridge reopening to traffic at 4 p.m.
