The Music for the Mind committee is heading into its 5th year of fundraising with a new partner.

Organizers have announced that in addition to raising funds for Family Service Kent and the KIDS Team Program, upcoming events will also be raising funds for Chatham-Kent Victim Services.

Chatham-Kent Victim Services will use their portion of the funds (10% of the total amount raised) to purchase weighted blankets for people struggling with anxiety and gift cards to help people in need purchase food and daily hygiene products.

Music for the Mind events have raised over $57,000 for Family Service Kent, supporting those six years of age and older who struggle with their mental health, providing free or minimal fee counselling and psychological assessments.

Organizers are now preparing for their next event, a beach volleyball tournament at Southside Tap and Grille on Saturday, September 9th.
