WDSS in Wallaceburg saw a great turnout from those looking to get involved in a new community music program on Monday night.
Former WDSS music teacher Dave Babbitt and Dave Elliott from the Wallaceburg Arts Council put together a three-year-deal with the Lambton Kent District School Board, allowing public use of instruments from WDSS and Babbitt’s old music room free of charge.
About 50 people showed up for the meeting on Monday Night. Babbitt says if you missed the meeting, that is no problem as there will be another meeting on Thursday evening in Room 184 at WDSS at 7 pm.
If you attended Monday night’s meeting Babbitt says there is no need to attend on Thursday. The focus is on wind instruments but they will not turn away those that play stringed instruments or drums.
