A Tupperville resident has been chosen to carry the NDP banner in Lambton-Kent-Middlesex as we head towards a federal election.

Dylan McLay, who ran an unsuccessful bid for Chatham-Kent municipal council last fall, was elected at a nomination meeting in Brooke-Alvinston over the weekend.

The 30-year-old beat out Joe Hill for the candidacy.

McLay will be facing off against Conservative Lianne Rood, Brie Atkins for the People’s Party of Canada, and Green candidate Anthony Li.

So far, no Liberal candidate has been selected.
