Local real estate professionals have raised over $2,000 to support child literacy in Chatham-Kent.
Nest Realty Inc. held its annual Play for a Purpose Fundraiser on April 19 at its office in Chatham, which saw many CK brokerages, local mortgage professionals, and local business owners in attendance.
A variety of backyard BBQ-type games were held for a chance to win donated prizes and raise funds for a local charity.
The event was able to raise $2,200 for the Chatham-Kent Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, which will be donated during a cheque presentation at the Kiwanis Club of Chatham-Kent on Wednesday.
The Dolly Parton Imagination Library is a book gifting program that mails free, high-quality books to children from birth until they begin school, no matter their family’s income.
