Chatham-Kent is organizing a new event for active and aspiring business owners who are looking to gain exposure and network with other businesses.
The Chatham-Kent Business Summit will be held at the John D Bradley Convention Centre on April 20-21 and will feature up to 80 businesses and a lineup of dynamic speakers.
“We’re going to have keynote speakers, we’re going to have a lot of different educational opportunities,” said Mayor Darrin Canniff. “It’s something you’ll want to be at.”
Canniff said the event has secured two keynote speakers — decorated Canadian Paralympic swimmer Danielle Campo McLeod and American-Canadian sports executive and former running back Michael “Pinball” Clemons.
Hosted by Chatham-Kent Economic Development, the summit is designed to unite the dream of starting a business, running a business, and ultimately succeeding in business.
“It will be the first one but we expect it to grow. I’d love to see it become very much a regional event,” said Canniff.
