Today is Earth day and what better way to celebrate than by taking in an exhibit by two local artists called “EVERYday is Earth Day”.

The show celebrates the work of Sally Joyce of Chatham and Blenheim’s Joe Peet.

The pair combine their talent with their environmental activism to get their message out. Peet uses branches to frame his work and Joyce mixes lake water into her paints.

Scattered amidst the installation are stones and tiny trees, with each element bringing its own story about an encounter the artists have had with the land.

The Thames Art Gallery and ARTspace are presenting the show, which can be seen in the front window gallery of ARTspace on King Street in downtown Chatham through May 2nd.
