The Chatham- Kent Fire and Emergency Services have announced they have successfully filled the role for the vacant Assistant Chief position.

Chris Case is a highly educated senior fire officer and is recognized as an expert in emergency services and crisis management.

Fire Chief, Ken Stuebing says the hiring process is very competitive and Case was the best candidate for the fire department.

“He was the most successful applicant in the process. The process is certainly a competitive process as we are trying to find the best candidate that we can for the organization and to help us with our current challenges and future needs. The selection panel thought he was the best candidate that we  interviewed. ”

Case will assume his role as the Assistant Chief on May 9.
