Chatham-Kent’s hospital is welcoming a new physician to its roster who specializes in mental health services.

The Chatham-Kent Health Alliance (CKHA) said Dr. Sunday Adewuyi recently relocated to the municipality to join the Department of Psychiatry.

Dr. Adewuyi earned a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from The University of Ilorin in Nigeria in 1997. He practiced in Ghana, Ireland and Scotland, before moving to Canada in 2016. In the past seven years, Dr. Adewuyi has been a member of teams in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Saskatoon, and North Battleford, Saskatchewan.

β€œIt’s a pleasure being here to serve the Chatham-Kent community. This is not my first time in Ontario having worked in Thunder Bay. Now I’ve come down south to Chatham and I’m able to provide the same service in an improved way,” said Dr. Adewuyi. β€œI am excited to work with the great team at CKHA to provide mental health services to those in the community.”

Dr. Adewuyi’s office is located at 240 Grand Ave. in Chatham.
