There is a new leader in charge of Chatham-Kent EMS.

The agency says Jeff Brooks is taking over as the General Manager, bringing with him 30 years of experience and comes from Lambton County where he was the EMS Department Deputy Manager.

“As a demonstrated leader in emergency medical services, Jeff brings more than 30 years of experience and key knowledge in the delivery of clinical and pre-hospital care,” said Donald MacLellan, Director of Mobile Integrated Health for Medavie Health Services and former General Manager of CKEMS. “It has been my pleasure to serve the community for the past 11 years. Jeff’s passion and proven leadership will help continue to provide innovative solutions and the best possible care for our community.”

“I am honoured to join the CKEMS team to support the mission of improving the wellbeing of Canadians,” said Jeff Brooks, General Manager of CKEMS. “This is a highly skilled team doing incredible work to bring care to patients in the right place, at the right time. I look forward to building on the success of the team as we focus on providing collaborative models of care in the community through our partnerships.”

Chatham-Kent EMS works in collaboration with numerous health care and community partners. Chris Case, Fire Chief, Chatham-Kent Fire and Rescue welcomed Jeff to the role and thanked former GM Donald McLellan for his contributions.

“I want to once again thank Donald MacLellan for his years of service and dedication to Chatham-Kent and to welcome Jeff to his new role,” said Case. “We look forward to continuing our partnership with the safeguarding of our community at its core.”
