Several local individuals are being recognized for their accomplishments in agriculture and service to the rural community of Chatham-Kent.

The Kent Agricultural Hall of Fame Association has announced five new nominees to be inducted into the hall of fame this November.

The nominees include the late Ron Anderson of former Dover Township, the late Doug Arbour of Chatham, Diane and Robert Devolder, and Kathleen (Kay) Quinton of former Orford Township.

The association said this year’s inductees reflect the diverse industry of agriculture and the many ways that the rural community can be served.

An induction ceremony will be held at the Hidden Hills Golf and Country Club on November 21 and it is open to everyone.

Since its inception in 1989, the Kent Agricultural Hall of Fame has inducted a total of 203 members.
