The local English Catholic school board has selected the location for a new elementary school in Chatham. 
The St Clair Catholic District School Board says the facility will be built at 801 McNaughton Avenue West.
The site is across from St Clair College and next to the future site of the Children’s Treatment Centre, both of which officials say provide a number of partnership possibilities.
Some trustees expressed concerns about safety when it comes to children crossing the road and traffic flow issues, but board officials say they are in discussions with the municipality to alleviate congestion.
The board is aiming to have the new school open by the fall of 2019.
