New Plant Brings Jobs And Pickles To Wallaceburg

Some great news for Chatham-Kent, and especially Wallaceburg today as Whyte’s Foods has announced a multi- million dollar project for the town set to open next year.

The Canadian owned company that makes Strub’s  pickles marinated food products has purchased a 150 thousand square foot building on Baseline Rd, that will be transformed into a 16.5 million dollar state of the art facility making marinated food products for the food service and retail industry.

The project has already begun and they expect completion by the fall of 2019.

This  will mean close to 100 new jobs for Chatham-Kent.
