There’s been yet another delay in construction on New Scotland Line.

The road, which has been closed since last May, will remain shut down for several weeks yet.

Municipal officials say work was expected to begin again this past Monday, but due to poor weather, crews won’t be heading to the site until November 26th.

The next phase involves removal of the failed culvert followed immediately by installation of the new pre-cast culvert.

Once that takes place, the road will have a temporary gravel surface at the culvert until next spring when weather will permit laying an asphalt surface.
