Good news for many South Kent residents – a section of New Scotland Line has now reopened.

The stretch of road between Shrewsbury and Rondeau was shut down in early May after a culvert and part of the road failed.

The repairs were originally expected to take just a few weeks, but after months of delays and additional work, it was reopened yesterday.

However, the work isn’t done yet. A temporary gravel surface is in place now, with final repaving expected to take place in the spring.
