Another major sponsor has stepped forward to support the International Plowing Match in Pain Court.
Owner of Waddick Fuels, Jaymie Waddick, says the $25,000 sponsorship will cover all of the fuel needs for next fall’s event.
“We’ve decided to donate all the fuel that’s used at the match,” Waddick explains,” That’s traditionally in that 20-25,000 litre range.”
The donation covers the tractors used to move people from parking lots to the IPM site, as well as transportation within the Match itself, and equipment used to build the Tented City and RV Park.
Waddick says the decision to support the Match was a no-brainer.
“Waddick Fuels’ biggest customer base by far is the agricultural and farming end,” he says. “Agriculture has meant a lot to our family, that’s where we started back in 1946, the farm base has meant a lot to us and we just wanted to give back.”
The sponsorship also covers the IPM pick-up truck that has been travelling to events across the province this year.
