A childhood game gone wrong has landed a Blenheim teen with charges.

According to Chatham-Kent Police, a group of young people were playing “nicky nicky nine doors,” a game of knocking on doors and running away before it’s answered, when they were confronted by the victim. The accused allegedly jumped the victim and assaulted him.

Authorities say the suspect dropped a book bag, which was picked up by someone trying to help the victim. The accused later went to the good Samaritan’s home, demanded the bag be returned, and threatened the woman and her family.

The 15-year-old accused was later found, arrested, and charged with wearing a disguise with intent, assault, and uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm.

The teen will have to face the charges in court in November.
