The North Kent Wind Project’s construction is set to begin with the preliminary piling activity at two locations.
In a recent statement, representatives of the project say that they’ll be monitoring ground vibration, in accordance with the Ministry of the Environment and in the project’s Renewable Energy Approval.
Water Wells First and several area residents have expressed concerns that vibrations from turbines and turbine construction have been causing increased sediment and contamination of area water wells.
North Kent Wind does not anticipate that these vibrations will influence groundwater.
Full construction of the project is slated for the end of April.
