No Disaster Assistance For Erie Shore Drive

The province has decided not to activate the Disaster Recovery Assistance program for residents on Erie Shore Drive.

The municipality declared a state of emergency during August’s flood event, triggering the provincial government’s disaster assistance program to assess the area.

This week the Ministry of Municipal Affairs announced the damage to the shoreline doesn’t qualify as the program isn’t for high flood risk areas.
