Fire crews were kept busy with a pair of early morning blazes.
In Chatham, fire fighters responded to a dumpster fire on Richmond Street around 3:30am.
The flames spread to the soffit and fascia of City Electrical Supply, where crews had to open the roof to stop the fire’s spread. Officials say while the blaze caused $100,000 in damage, $1.5 million in property was saved.
The cause has been listed as undetermined.
Less than two hours later, fire fighters in Chatham North, Dresden, and Thamesville responded to a structure fire on Croton Line.
Damage is pegged at $250,000.
The cause remains under investigation.
Chatham-Kent Fire and Rescue officials say there were no injuries reported in either blaze.
