Fire crews were kept busy over the weekend with a blaze in Chatham early Saturday morning.

Fire fighters were called to a home on Wellington Street East just before 3:30 to find flames coming from the first floor windows.

Officials say once the flames on the main level were knocked down, crews continued working on the second storey, including a deep-seated fire that had spread into the attic.

No injuries have been reported and no one was home when the fire broke out.

No damage estimate has been released at this point and the cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
