There are no local changes this week in the province’s colour-coded regional framework, with Chatham-Kent, Lambton County, Middlesex-London and Windsor-Essex all staying put in their current “zones”.
Toronto, Peel and North Bay Parry Sound regions are transitioning from lockdown into the framework, with the stay-at-home order no longer in effect.
Chatham-Kent remains in the “Orange – Restrict” zone, as the local active  case load continues to drop, with no outbreaks currently listed in the municipality. As of Friday’s report from CK Public Health, the region’s active case count is down to 11.
Middlesex-London also remains in the “Orange – Restrict” zone.
Despite rising case numbers in Lambton County, they will remain in the “Red – Control” zone of the framework for the time being. Numbers have increased rather quickly this past week with 122 active cases and six active outbreaks in Lambton, as of Friday afternoon.
Windsor-Essex also remains in the “Red – Control” zone.
Seven other public health regions are being moved to new levels in the framework.
Red-Control: Peterborough Public Health; Public Health Sudbury and Districts; and Simcoe-Muskoka District Health Unit.
Orange-Restrict: Haldimand-Norfolk Health Unit; and Timiskaming Health Unit.
Yellow-Protect: Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge District Health Unit; and Renfrew County and District Health Unit.
All changes will be effective Monday, March 8, 2021 at 12:01 a.m.
