CK Public Health is reporting no new cases of COVID-19 over the weekend, despite 700 new cases across the province today alone.
Chatham-Kent continues to have three active cases with no COVID-positive patients in hospital and no current outbreaks.
In total, C-K has had 368 cases with 363 recoveries and two deaths.
As of September 24th, 27,354 tests had been completed in the municipality.
Province-wide, Ontario is reporting its largest single-day increase in cases of COVID-19 ever.
Health Minister Christine Elliot is reporting 700 new cases today, up from 491 yesterday.
The biggest offenders remain the same – 344 cases in the city of Toronto, 104 in Peel, 89 in Ottawa, and 56 in York Region.
The record-setting spike also comes on the same day casinos and gaming centres around the GTA are set to reopen their doors for the first time since the pandemic began, albeit with limited numbers.
