The municipality has missed the cut on provincial funding for road work. 
An application was submitted to the Connecting Links program for repairs to a stretch of Grand Avenue East in Chatham between Taylor Avenue and Communication Road.
The proposed $3.7 million project would include resurfacing the road and rehabilitation of the culvert over Arnold Creek.
However, the province released its list of $30 million in provincial funding in 2019-20, with no mention of Chatham-Kent.
Among the projects that have been approved include reconstruction of the Ontario Street corridor in Lambton Shores, and a stretch of Huron Church Road in Windsor.
