Noelle’s Gift Launches CK Chapter

Noelle’s Gift Chatham-Kent co-chairs Caress Lee and Leah Cabral.

An organization originating in Lambton County now has a greater presence in Chatham-Kent.

Noelle’s Gift to Children was launched in 2013, honoring the memory of Noelle Paquette, a passionate educator who always made sure her students had meals, school supplies, and proper clothing.

Over the years, the organization has continued Noelle’s legacy to ensure students across the region have access to the essentials they need to succeed.

A newly formed Chatham-Kent Chapter will be co-chaired by Caress Lee, Public Relations Officer with the Lambton Kent District School Board and Leah Cabral, Supervisor of Communications and Community Relations for St. Clair Catholic District School Board.

“Although I was familiar with Noelle’s Gift to Children before my role with the LKDSB, I never truly understood the depth of its impact,” Lee said in a news release. “They are truly a lifeline for countless families across Chatham-Kent and Sarnia-Lambton, offering support when it’s needed most. The immediate, compassionate help provided to children and families, free from barriers, is nothing short of extraordinary.”

“Noelle’s Gift to Children touches the lives of students in our schools every day, and I’m thrilled to be part of the team helping to extend that impact in Chatham-Kent,” added Cabral. “Every child deserves to feel supported and have what they need to thrive, and Noelle’s Gift makes that possible in such a meaningful way.”

A fundraising spring race, “Light up the Night for Noelle,” is being planned for Friday, April 25 at Mud Creek Trail in Chatham, starting at 7:30. The all-ages evening will include a five kilometre run or walk, and a one kilometre race for kids. 100% of proceeds will stay in Chatham-Kent to support local students through Noelle’s Gift.
