Nominees Announced For Black Excellence Awards

Nearly two dozen nominees have been selected for Chatham-Kent’s second annual Black Excellence Awards.

The Black Excellence Awards Committee named its 2025 nominees this week in several categories including youth, female, male, and citizen of the year.

The awards will be presented at the Black Excellence Awards and Gala on March 1, at the Retro Suites in Chatham.

The nomination period for the awards ran from December 8 through January 10. All those nominated had to have ties to the municipality to be considered.
