Nearly 40 businesses and individuals in Wallaceburg are in contention for recognition of their local contributions.
The Wallaceburg and District Chamber of Commerce has announced the finalists for the annual Business and Community Excellence Awards.
Each of the finalists has been nominated for one of 13 awards including Business of the Year, Chip Gordon Citizen of the Year, Entrepreneur of the Year, Industrial Achievement, Volunteer Of The Year, Women in Business, and Young Professional, as well as the Technology Award, Legacy Award, and Agricultural Award. Also, new this year is the Building Bridges Award, sponsored by Walpole Island Employment & Training Centre.
This year’s winners will be honoured during a dinner and awards ceremony on November 6 at the CBD Club. The theme for this year’s event is “Wallywood.”
The nominees were chosen by an anonymous committee and judging panel outside of the Wallaceburg area.
