A sixth candidate has joined the race to become the new MPP for Lambton-Kent-Middlesex.

Over a week after a provincial by-election was called, Stephen Campbell joined the race, representing the independent None of the Above Party.
Campbell hails from North Ekfrid, northeast of Glencoe.

In a news release, Campbell says he is against the federal carbon tax, the proposed expansion and reopening of a dormant landfill near Dresden, and the expansion of Hydro One transmission lines, which he says will be taking up valuable farmland.

Campbell joins five other candidates already in the running, including PC Steve Pinsonneault, Cathy Burghardt-Jesson for the Liberals, NDP candidate Kathryn Shailer, Andraena Tilgner with the Green Party, and New Blue Party representative Keith Benn.

Voters in Lambton-Kent-Middlesex head to the polls May 2nd.
