With the municipal election just over a month away, North Kent residents are being given a chance to get to know the candidates a little better.

The Rotary Club of Dresden is hosting a Ward 4 candidates forum on Tuesday, September 27th at The Wheelhouse on North Street.

The meeting gets underway at 7 o’clock that night.

Rotary President Rose Northcott notes that this will be one of the first public events at Dresden Rotary’s new home, “we are looking forward to welcoming the community to The Wheelhouse for this important civic event”.

The agenda includes the opportunity for each candidate to provide an opening and closing statement. In addition, the candidates will be asked to respond to questions developed by the organizing committee based on input from the public. Anyone who has an issue they would like to see addressed is asked to email their concerns to dresdenrotary@gmail.com.

There are eight candidates running for two spots on Council.

Online voting begins October 3rd, advance polls run October 13th to the 15th, and election day itself is set for October 24th.
