Local writers are being encouraged to pick up their pen or keyboard this month.

November marks National Novel Writing Month, or NaNoWriMo, a world-wide challenge to complete a 50,000 word novel before the end of the month.

The Chatham-Kent Public Library is hosting a series of workshops each Thursday in communities across the municipality. Officials say “Come Write In” will aim to provide some inspiration for those who need it, a quiet place to work, and a chance to meet other writers.

Thursday, November 2 from 4:00 to 5:00 pm at the Tilbury Branch
Thursday, November 9 from 4:00 to 5:00 pm at the Wallaceburg Branch
