 Seniors have a new shoulder to lean on for respite care, transportation, nursing care and 24/7 service is being offered by a new organization called Nurse Next Door.
The new Chatham-Kent branch serves all of CK and Leamington and according to Director Dakota Hodgson, if you have the skills, they might be interested in hiring you.
“We’re right in Chatham but we handle the whole area, Chatham-Kent and Leamington. The reception has been such a warm welcome, we’re hiring some amazing care givers right now and we can’t wait to get started,” says Hodgson. “So we ask every single client ‘What’s one thing you used to love to do that you don’t get to do anymore?’ And then we find away to bring that back into their lives, whether that’s gardening outside or getting help to go to the pool to go swimming. So that they can have the care that they need, but also bursts of happiness.”
