Objects Thrown During Blenheim Tenant Dispute

A dispute between two apartment tenants in Blenheim has led to charges.

The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers responded to a disturbance at a Talbot Street West apartment building just before 8 p.m. on Monday.

Authorities learned that a woman had thrown a security camera and an ashtray at another tenant. While the tenant was not injured, the security camera was damaged.

The suspect, who was found to be distressed, was located outside the building and taken to hospital for assistance.

The 37-year-old Blenheim woman was later arrested and charged with two counts of assault with a weapon and one count of mischief. She has since been released from custody with a future court date.
