ODA Calls for Support for Low Income Kids

The Ontario Dental Association is urging the provincial government to help kids from low-income families.

According to the ODA, 300,000 kids from low-income families in Ontario aren’t getting the dental care they need.

The Association says that while 200,000 kids are receiving care from the Healthy Smiles Ontario program, more needs to be done for the other 300,000.

They say that dental pain is the second-most common reason that kids miss school.

The ODA is asking the Ontario government to find real, long-term solutions because kids in Ontario have an urgent need.
