Charges have been laid after a disturbance on Walpole Island turned violent.
Members of Lambton OPP responded to a dispute at a home on Union Hall Road last Friday.
Authorities say a suspect put up a fight while officers tried to take him into custody. The accused was eventually arrested following a brief struggle.
The 28-year-old from Walpole Island First Nation is now facing charges of two counts of assaulting a peace officer and one count of resisting a peace officer.
The accused was released from custody following a bail hearing, and will be back in court to answer to these charges as well as similar charges from a previous incident.
