The Sons of Kent is proud to announce the return of our Oktoberfest hosted right here in our own Backyard. This is a three-day event which celebrates the food, music and dance of Bavarian culture, with some delicious Sons craft beer thrown in the mix.
Young and old, modern and traditional – it all blends harmoniously in a fun and welcoming atmosphere at Sons’ Oktoberfest!
This three day festival takes place in our outdoor space we like to call the ‘Backyard’.
Exclusive to our Oktoberfest, FESTBIER is specially brewed for the fall season. This Vienna style Lager is a copper coloured beauty and pours with thick rocky head and imparts some biscuit, slight caramel and maltiness. It finishes with a crisp Nobel Hop bitterness on the back end. More German-style beer available EXCLUSIVELY at this year’s Oktoberfest.
Live music all weekend long. Friday 6-9 | Superfly Saturday 4, 5:30 & 7 | Acoustic set, DTX, Walking 47 Sunday 3-5 | Toast and Jam.
STEIN HOLD COMPETITION
AGES 19+ | $25 FRIDAY 7 p.m. SATURDAY 3 p.m., 5 p.m., & 6:45p.m. Stein holding is a traditional Bavarian strength contest. Signups will begin on Friday at 4 p.m. To enter the contest, it is $25. What’s included you ask? – All participants get one 25oz. beer – All participants keep their souvenir Sons of Kent Stein – WINNER receives an additional beer, Sons of Kent swag pack and of course bragging rights as the strongest in the ‘yard.
BREW MASTER TASTING
AGES 19+ | SATURDAY at 1PM, 2:30PM & 3:30PM Our brew masters have been working on something special, just for you! At this years Oktoberfest, we encourage you to try all four of our special edition, German-style brews by joining the live tasting, happening at 1PM, 2:30PM and 3:30PM. **Cost of 4 tickets to purchase the flight. Tasting experience included.
ROOT BIER GARDEN
KIDS ZONE The Root Bier Garden root bier floats, treats and snacks! It will also include fun activities like colouring sheets and fun scavenger hunt activity just for kids within the Oktoberfest backyard. Visit the Root Bier Garden during the event, to collect your scavenger hunt list.
