The provincial government has released the top names given to babies born in Ontario in 2023.
According to the Ministry of Public and Business Service Delivery and Procurement, Olivia clinched the number one spot as the top baby girl name for the 15th consecutive year, while Noah took the top spot as the most popular name for boys for the fifth year in a row.
Charlotte was the second-most favourable choice for girls and Liam was the second-most popular name for boys.
The vast majority of newborns in the province are registered through ServiceOntario’s 5-in-1 Newborn Bundle, with approximately 120,000 births registered with the service annually.
