One member of the famous Canadian Forces Snowbirds was killed and another seriously injured in a crash near Kamloops B.C. Sunday.
The crash occurred shortly after takeoff from a nearby airport.
The seriously injured members injuries are not life threatening.
According to reports the victim was Captain Jennifer Casey, the Public Affairs Officer for the Snowbirďs.
Witnesses say the jet went into a climb followed by a nosedive into a residential area causing a large fire.
It was one of the final stops on a cross Canada tour that began last weekend down East.
It was a moral tour called Operation Inspiration to honor front line workers during this pandemic.
Prime Minister Trudeau said ” his thoughts are with the brave members of the Royal Canadian Air Force”.
The crash took place shortly before noon PT.
