The Ontario government is celebrating Healthy Parks Healthy People Day by encouraging everyone to attend a provincial park at no cost.
The province said all of its 75 parks, including Rondeau and Wheatley Provincial Park, will be open for free day-use on July 19 to mark the occasion and to promote the health benefits of getting outside in nature.
Those attending provincial parks can take advantage of the programs and facilities offered year-round. Most parks also offer the chance to go hiking, cycling, paddling, swimming and more.
Those interested in attending a provincial park on Healthy Parks Healthy People Day are encouraged to obtain a daily vehicle permit in advance to guarantee access.
