Parents better get used to having the kids around past this week off.
Premier Doug Ford announced this afternoon that when the break is over next week, students will not be returning to in person learning.
That’s right..back to remote learning right across Ontario beginning on April 19th.
Ford blamed the decision on the soaring numbers of new cases each day.
He said students will not return to the class room until vaccinations numbers increase, and new cases drop significantly.
The new variants are also being blamed for the move.
Education Minister Steve Lecce confirmed emergency child care will be available to essential workers.
