A pair of local organizations are among over 250 non-profit groups across Ontario sharing in $26 million through the latest round of Ontario Trillium Foundation grants.

Through the Resilient Community Fund, not-for-profit organizations are able to address pandemic-related challenges so they can continue to support their local communities.

Chatham’s Active Lifestyle Centre is the recipient of a $199,500 grant to reintroduce a variety of new programs, services, and events over the next two years.

Linck Child, Youth and Family Supports have been given $192,800 over the next two years to provide improved program materials and technology for a homework space as well as educational courses for youth life skill and field trips.

“Non-profit organizations are critical to the success of communities across the province, delivering programming that helps people find jobs and live healthier, happier lives,” said Neil Lumsden, Minister of Tourism, Culture and Sport in a news release. “Communities across the province have overcome significant challenges in the past couple of years and supports like the Resilient Communities Fund have enabled non-profit organizations to continue to deliver valuable programming and services to those who need it the most.”
