Ontario’s Top Doc Thinks Positive Cases Can Work

While Chatham-Kent Medical Officer of Health Dr. David Colby has been battling a large outbreak of COVID-19 at Greenhill Produce and now helping Windsor-Essex, his provincial counterpart thinks the workers can go back to work immediately.

In a guidance document Ontario Medical Officer of Health David Williams says workers who test positive but are asymptomatic, could return to work but there are conditions.

They would need to be deemed critical to the operation.

There must be self isolation measures taken to protect other workers, and the worker has to want to return.

If they don’t want to, they will still be eligible for workers comp.
