Operation Corridor is a joint effort between the OPP, Ministry of Transportation, Ministry of the Environment, and local police, cracking down on aggressive commercial truck drivers and unsafe commercial vehicles on Ontario’s busiest highways.

Authorities say so far this year, there have been 25 fatal collisions on Ontario roads involving transports, a 25% increase over the first six months of 2017.

Officers have responded to a total of 3,047 transport truck-related crashes so far this year, with investigations pointing to the driver of the transport truck as the at-fault driver in a large number of the collisions.
