The Salvation Army is in dire need of coats for Operation Cover Up.
Captain Kathy Holland says donations have been slow, and coats are needed well in advance of the November 4th deadline.
“The weather hasn’t been helpful in that area,” Holland says. “It’s been so warm, I don’t think people have been thinking about warm clothing, but now the last couple of day with it being cooler maybe it will pick up.”
Coats can be dropped off at Salvation Army thrift stores in Chatham, Wallaceburg and Ridgetown, the Tilbury Information and Help Centre, and Jiffy Lube in Chatham.
Distribution of coats began earlier this week.
