Chatham-Kent Police have released their stats from last weekend’s Operation Impact safety blitz.
Over the Thanksgiving weekend, officers across the municipality handed out 197 ticket sand summons for motorists for not wearing their seat belts, speeding, and other highway traffic act offences.
Three people were charged with impaired driving and two others for stunt driving.
140 vehicles were also stopped at RIDE checks across Chatham-Kent.
