It’s the first day back to school, and provincial police have a few tips for drivers and students.
They’re reminding all motorists to watch out for school buses, and to stop at least 20 metres away when a bus has its red lights flashing and arm extended.
Kids walking or biking to school should remember to look in all directions before crossing the road, to stop, look and listen for traffic, and to cross only when the road is clear.
Officers also say to walk on sidewalks when possible, and always use crosswalks.
