Nearly $2300 has been raised by local OPP officers for students at Pelee Island Public School. 
Officers say the school was broken into early last month and cash was stolen from the classroom. The money was raised by the students for future field trips and events.
Essex and Kingsville OPP held a fundraiser to replace the stolen money, and presented the funds to the students today.
The investigation into the theft is ongoing.
